Phillip has acted for Public and Private sector bodies for over 18 years and combines excellent technical knowledge with an ability to communicate with clients, something he believes is not seen often enough in the legal market.

Benefitting from having worked within two of the North of England’s premier property departments, at local giants Ward Hadaway and Leeds specialists, Gordons, Phillip is able to advise on complex transactions for large corporations however he has also been involved with running his own business and therefore also appreciates the special needs of the small businesses.

Phillip represents some of the largest landowners in the north east, national retailers and student and leisure providers throughout the country. He was recognised in the Legal 500 for his work with FTSE 100 companies.

After almost 20 years with a large Teesside based commercial practice, Jonathan bought into the vision that he shares with his friend and former university flatmate Phil Dean.

Jonathan is an accomplished litigator accustomed to resolving disputes across the full spectrum of commercial litigation including Companies Act claims, professional negligence, sale of goods disputes, breach of director’s duty and post termination restraint claims, disputes with agricultural and equine links and intellectual property disputes.

Jonathan’s advice is outcome focused and client centred.  What might be legally possible may not be of most benefit to the client.  Jonathan is accustomed to using all potential avenues of dispute resolution including formal and informal mediation, negotiation, arbitration and adjudication towards achieving an agreed outcome.

Chris joined the PG Legal team as a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Civil Department in September 2016, after previously setting up Imperium Law Solicitors before selling his share to his business partner in 2015.

Having attended Newcastle University, Chris originally qualified as a Solicitor with Watson Burton before moving to Jacksons in Middlesbrough where he worked for 10 years, becoming the youngest Partner. Chris has also established three other businesses during his career, and brings extensive practical businesses knowledge to the team.

Today, Chris’ role involves being mentor for more Junior Staff, whilst handling his own case load, assisting the Directors in managing the business, providing advice and assistance in relation to operational matters, supporting marketing and sharing his experience with all departments.

Outside of work, Chris describes himself as a keen if rather inept golfer, and loves dogs, gin, reading, NUFC and the Leicester Tigers.

Charlotte read law at Northumbria University and graduated with honours with an intergrated masters degree in July 2013. Having assisted Phil Dean throughout her studies and completing her two year training contract with the firm, Charlotte qualified as a solicitor in September 2015.

Charlotte works within the commercial property department. Charlotte primarily deals with non-contentious Landlord and Tenant work and the sale and purchase of commercial property in addition to assisting Phil Dean with other commercial transaction work. Charlotte has a particular interest in Landlord and Tenant work and is looking to further her development in this area of law alongside developing her knowledge in employment law.

Charlotte enjoys walking in the countryside with her two dogs, running, camping and spending time with her friends and family.

Prabhi joined the firm in 2014 before starting her training contract in January 2015 and qualifying as a solicitor in January 2017.

Prabhi joined the firm in 2014 before starting her training contract in January 2015 and qualifying as a solicitor in January 2017. She is based in the Commercial Litigation Team and has a keen interest in property litigation matters. Since joining the team, Prabhi has gained experienced in debt recovery matters, contractual disputes and contentious and non-contentious Landlord and Tenant work.

Prabhi graduated from Northumbria University’s Law School with honours in Law with Environment in 2013 and completed the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University in 2014. She was appointed to Northumbria’s School of Law Honour Roll for academic excellence and top 10%. Having studied Environment alongside Law,

Prabhi also has a keen interest in contaminated land issues and planning law. Prabhi speaks Punjabi and fluent Hindi. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, travelling and various water sports. She also allows time for relaxation and spa days.

Having worked in law firms, non-profit organisations and within the banking sector, Harmeet joined PG Legal Ltd in April 2016 as a Paralegal within the Commercial Property department. His duties involved drafting and exchanging contracts, along with fulfilling the completion process.

Harmeet read law at Northumbria University graduating with a First in the LL.B (Hons) Solicitors Exempting Degree in 2008. He has since commenced his Training Contract in April 2017 and is expected to qualify as a Solicitor in April 2019.  Currently, his first seat is in the Litigation Department.

In his spare time, Harmeet likes to play football and is an avid supporter of Newcastle United Football Club. He also has a keen interest in travelling.

Matthew joined the firm in December 2015 while still completing his studies, after undertaking work experience with the firm.

Matthew joined the firm in December 2015 while still completing his studies, after undertaking work experience with the firm. He is now embarking upon his legal career with the firm as a Trainee Solicitor within the Litigation team. Matthew is also a keen networker for the firm.

Matthew completed his integrated MLaw Degree and LPC qualification in 2016 where he joined the Contribution Roll for outstanding work in the University’s Student Law Office.

Outside of work Matthew enjoys golf and can be found playing at Ramside Golf Club most weekends. He also helps run the Ramside Junior team having played for the team for five years and being a previous Captain. Aside from golf, Matthew is also a supporter of Sunderland AFC and enjoys travelling the world as much as possible.

Tanya is an experienced conveyancing secretary and fee earner having worked in both roles for a number of years.

Outside of work she enjoys socialising and spending time with family and friends.

Outside of work Claire is an active fundraiser for various charities and a volunteer within a number of community groups.

Her role includes administration, accounts and payroll. Before joining the PG Legal team, Sarah worked as a Payments Administrator in the Visa department of the Home Office and Payroll department at SCS Head Office.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys attending football games and concerts, and spending time with family.

With extensive legal sector experience, Helen is Secretary to Phil Dean, Director and William Green, Consultant.

Before joining the PG Legal team, Helen spent 12 years at other law firms, working as a secretary across a range of departments including commercial, property, litigation, personal injury and clinical negligence. She brings extensive experience to the role.

Outside of work Helen enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. They spend a lot of time outdoors going on long walks and making their own adventures.

She completed her integrated Honours (Law) Degree and LPC qualification at Northumbria University last year and began working at the firm shortly her graduation.

Outside of work Christina enjoys spending time with friends in the North East, and makes time to regularly visit her hometown of Lisburn, Northern Ireland to spend time with family and her dog.

Before joining the team she worked as a nursery nurse for six years across Gateshead, but after having her own child changed her career path. In addition to working as a receptionist, she also supports the litigation team with administration.

Outside of work, Carly enjoys socialising and having family days out, and spends a lot of time at football as the secretary for a local team.

After farming in his own right William qualified as a solicitor and immediately began to specialise in the law of the countryside.

After farming in his own right William qualified as a solicitor and immediately began to specialise in the law of the countryside. He now acts on behalf of estate owners, farmers (owners occupiers and tenants), or anyone with an issue involving rural law.

William handles all aspects of agricultural and countryside law and, while the list of such matters is almost endless, he is an acknowledged for his work in property matters, such as the sale and purchase of land, farms and estates, agricultural lettings (FBT or AHA), and the commercial side such as partnerships (whether it involves a new agreement or a dispute), sustainable energy projects and mineral extraction. The Legal 500 has stated: William Green … (is) very knowledgeable and spends time explaining matters with no legal jargon” William is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and is on the panel of Recommended Professionals of the Tenant Farmers Association.

He is never happier than when visiting clients at their homes, or on their farms, throughout the North of England.

Upon qualification Andrew decided to focus his efforts in teaching law and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and a Masters Degree in Law (LLM). He lectures at Teesside University where he is also Director in charge of the successful University Student Law Clinic.

Andrew is in the process of qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives and is also due to complete his Legal Practice Course shortly. His specialist area is Employment Law and he has built up quite a reputation having dealt with multi million pound, multi-claimant claims and is able to advise companies and businesses on HR issues, policies and procedures through to providing guidance on large and small scale redundancies and providing advocacy in Employment Tribunals.

Andrew is very approachable and is recognised as being able to relay complex legal information to clients in a clear and succinct manner. He has regularly appeared on local radio and television to discuss current legal issues.

In his spare time Andrew is a keen rugby supporter and still plays for his local club in Yarm.

Joined the firm in July 2017 to head up the employment business support team.

Damian qualified as as solicitor in 2003 specialising in Employment Law and Joined EEF. In this role he worked alongside HR Managers which helped him understand the practical issues they face on a day to day basis. At EEF he gained valuable experience working with companies in achieving commercial, practical and pragmatic solutions. Additionally he was able to rapidly develop knowledge and experience of Tribunal advocacy representing member companies throughout the UK.

In 2006 Damian joined Dickinson Dees and further developed his skill sand experience gained at EEF. At Dickinson Dees he developed a wider appreciation of the various legal issues involved in commercial transactions and a greater understanding of the level of client support. Damian then joined Ward Hadaway and increased his involvement in Employment Tribunal litigation developing his role to that of the in-house team advocate.

Damian’s specialities: Employment Tribunal litigation, Collective Consultation, Disciplinary and Grievance management support add advice.
